COVID-19 UPDATE

In the current climate of the COVID-19 pandemic, Melbourne Radiology Clinic is committed to providing ongoing quality diagnostic and interventional imaging and patient care. Our responsibility remains to provide services to our patients in a safe environment.

We would like to reassure all patients entering our clinic that we have taken extra and all necessary precautions to protect our staff and patients against COVID-19. These new procedures and policy to protect against COVID-19 transmission are in line with the latest government and health organisation regulations and guidelines.

Diagnostic Imaging.

Melbourne Radiology Clinic offers the latest in digital and diagnostic imaging technology. Our clinic specialises in musculoskeletal (orthopaedic, rheumatological and sports medicine) urological and neurosurgical imaging.

We also offer bowel MRI scans, as well as dGEMRIC scans which can identify early cartilage breakdown. CT scans and Ultrasound scans at our clinic are the other imaging modalities on site that enable us to service our referring doctors and patients alike, providing valuable information as to the source of patient’s pain and symptoms.

Offering All Major Clinical Modalities – Including MRI

Our Diagnostic Imaging services include Digital X-rays, with our sophisticated Digital Radiography unit replacing standard X-ray units, delivering a lower radiation dose whilst simultaneously providing superior imaging quality.

Interventional Radiology
& Pain Management.

Interventional Radiology is the subspecialty field of radiology that involves minimally invasive procedures.

Our expert team is skilled in delivering several minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures to alleviate pain, aid recovery, and potentially eliminate the need for more invasive surgical procedures. These include spinal pain, musculoskeletal and direct tendon injections as well as nerve blocks for temporary relief of pain caused by nerve trauma or inflammation, enabling patients to recover and undergo rehabilitation in a more compliant manner.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is another innovative interventional radiology procedure offered at Melbourne Radiology Clinic. RFA can be used to treat back pain resulting from facet joint arthritis, recalcitrant heel pain due to plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain, recalcitrant knee and trochanteric region pain. It can also be an effective treatment for conditions such as Morton’s neuromas as well as post-operative neuromas.

Melbourne Radiology Clinic specialises in a range of Interventional Radiology procedures and injections for pain management:

Sports Imaging

Following an injury, athletes naturally want to minimise their time on the sidelines so an accurate and rapid diagnosis is essential. Following a clinical assessment, many athletes require some form of imaging to confirm the diagnosis and assess its severity – that’s where our medical imaging specialist can assist.
