Any imaging referral form is valid.
Any referral form for a scan or imaging procedure is valid and will be accepted at Melbourne Radiology Clinic, even if it has been written or printed on a referral form or stationery from another radiology provider.
What this means?
Your doctor may give you a referral form for one brand of diagnostic imaging provider. You are free to choose your own radiology provider as long as they offer the scan you need.

Appointment Reminders.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your booked appointment time (unless you have been given other instructions from our staff) .
If you are having an injection or interventional procedure, please enquire if a responsible support person and/or driver to take you home is recommended.

Check if you need to read and complete a Consent Form prior to your procedure.
Preparation for an Examination.
Unless otherwise advised, please continue to take your medications as usual.
If you are diabetic, please advise us at the time of booking as fasting may be required for an examination.
and Specific Preparation Required
Fast for 4 hours prior to the examination.
For CT Abdomen & Pelvis, drink 1 litre of water (4 cups) 30 minutes before the examination.
No preparation unless otherwise instructed.
Fast for 6 hours prior (usually withhold breakfast).
Only have small sips of water for any medication that you may be taking
75 minutes prior to the appointment empty your bladder and then drink one litre of water (not coffee or tea), finishing the water at least one hour before the examination.
Do NOT empty your bladder until after the examination
