Since 2009 we have provided efficient and empathetic service to patients who have been referred to us by their physician. We offer a range of services, from diagnostic imaging to pain management and biopsy procedures.
Whatever you are being referred for, we will provide you with the relevant information about your examination and/or procedure.
What is Interventional Radiology?
This subspecialist field of radiology consists of minimally invasive procedures that usually involves a fine needle that is guided safely and accurately utilising either an Ultrasound or CT guidance. Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA), biopsies and pain management injections are also performed in this manner. In the case of FNA or biopsy, a needle is guided to the lesion/mass that requires evaluation so that a sample can be collected and therefore be reviewed under a microscope by a pathologist. Interventional Radiology also includes procedures designed to help manage and even alleviate pain, specifically CT guided nerve root injections, cortisone injection in foot, injection for elbow, wrist & hip pain, injections of arthritis as well as direct tendon injections.
